So having observed what I see as a somewhat spurious left right distinction... left brain us instrumental in garnering connection just as much as right... I do want to say that I love listening to you and find your mix of recovery, neuroscience and Buddhism incredibly engaging and enlightening. Thanks so much for your generosity and sharing. 😊

Also my left brain response to anxiety isn't necessarily one of catastrophising. If I can escalate then I can also bring calming perspectives. Cognitions that de-escalate.

You seem to do the left brain s disservice. I get that the right is attuned to rich symbology and emotional response but you seem to talk of it in pluralistic terms and the left in singular. I would have thought the left just as capable of rich multidimensional comprehension, it's just that it's more concerned with description rather than the experiential. Even this is too simplistic though cos feeling requires description to exist and be worked with. Doesn't wisdom come not only from being but from bracketing being and engaging choice.

You seem to contradict yourself Josh. You talk of the left brain being virtual, all about ideas and words and the right as embodied and perceptive and connected outwardly. But then you talk about left brain being very singular and the right as more associative. There seems to be a contradiction here. 😊
